Happy Hanukah to you! I hope you are enjoying crispy latkes with your topping of choice (mine is applesauce). My favorite holiday of all (that would be New Years/my anniversary) is only three weeks away!
I know that it’s been nothing but POTW posts for the past couple weeks. To be honest, the house blogs that I read usually inspire to do more around my house, but lately it’s just been mostly pictures of Christmas trees and Christmas crafts. And don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas cookies just as much more than the next guy/gal, but these December postings make me feel pressure to decorate a beautiful tree and HELLO I don’t even celebrate Christmas. I’m sorry to be a Scrooge. (By the way, reader, I LOVE your Christmas tree).
And do you know what else I love? Other than chocolate and Christmas cookies? Taking an afternoon to cross something off my to do list! Hurray! I finally got around to painting the doors upstairs. And it only took the length of the first 3 CDs of the Steve Jobs autobiography (about 4 hours).
Notice in the “before” picture that there is paint splatter on the door. Way back when, Brian was painting the ceiling, the paint container fell off the ladder and hit everything in sight! That includes the walls (pre painted), the floor (before carpet), the door, and of course Brian. Being the awful wife that I am, I thought this painting incident was hilarious and never got around to covering up the last of the mishap. Oh, and now I’ve told the entire Internet about it. Anywho, now you know what’s hiding under our carpet.

Nice job. Looks like the doors to the oval office.
